Menasha Corporation acquires Brampton-based PearceWellwood Inc.
Menasha Corporation has acquired the Brampton, Ontario-based PearceWellwood Inc.—a designer and full-service manufacturer of corrugated displays for the retail industry and provider of fulfillment and distribution services. PearceWellwood will now operate as part of Menasha Packaging Company, LLC, a subsidiary of the Menasha Corporation. Menasha has also acquired—from PearceWellwood’s parent company, Pearce Group—an ownership interest in Tencorr Packaging, a corrugated sheet manufacturer with plants in Mississauga and Brampton.

Menasha Packaging provides graphic consumer packaging, merchandising solutions, corrugated packaging, food packaging, shipping containers, material handling solutions, pack-out and fulfillment services. The company boasts a network of design, sales service centers, corrugated and paperboard manufacturing plants, and fulfillment facilities located throughout the United States.
“The acquisition of PearceWellwood provides Menasha Packaging Company a foothold in Canada to better serve new and existing major consumer packaged goods customers located in the region with expertise in display design, manufacturing and fulfillment,” Jim Kotek, president and CEO of Menasha Corporation said.
“Acquiring PearceWellwood allows Menasha Packaging to not only expand geographically in Canada with an established facility and manufacturing operation, but to do so with a reputable company that operates with a similar business model and value system,” Mike Waite, president of Menasha Packaging Company said. “The combined companies’ packaging offerings and fulfillment capabilities expand Menasha’s market-leading footprint and will improve our ability to provide Canadian customers with end-to-end merchandising solutions.”
The terms of the transaction between the two companies have not been disclosed.
