Xeikon launches the 9800
Xeikon has launched the Xeikon 9800, a new dry toner based digital color press. It will replace the Xeikon 8800 press in its family of digital colour presses, complementing the 8500 and 8600. The 9800 uses Xeikon’s new QA-CD toner, and delivers print speeds up to 21.5 metres/70.5 feet per minute.
It can print on various untreated substrates, ranging from 40gsm to 300gsm and has a print resolution of 1200x3600 dpi with variable dot density. Xeikon has named it its most productive digital color press in its portfolio with 5/5 single-pass duplex printing. Available QA-CD toners include CMYK, red, green, blue, extra magenta and superblack as well as white and clear (UV reflecting) toner. Xeikon can also provide special colors specified by print production operations and its brand owners, upon request.
Deliveries for the new press is set for September 2015.
