Epson introduces the ColorWorks C7500 Label Printer
Inspired by OSHA’S upcoming June 2015 GHS deadline, which will impact supply chain operations in various industries, Epson has introduced the ColorWorks C7500 label printer with just in time color (JITC) labelling.
The printer is powered by PrecisionCore print chip technology and will help reduce labeling costs by up to 50% for industrial and manufacturing applications. The C7500 is designed to efficiently and cost-effectively meet the needs of industrial manufacturers, fulfilling high-mix label requirements and variable printing demands. The patented PrecisionCore technology enables the printer to produce speed, economy and print quality to manufacturers.
The industrial printer is in a linehead configuration and delivers an image resolution of 600 x 1200 DPI at faster speeds with very precise dot placement and high-speed media handling. The 4-colour printer is comparable in affordability and high image durability as previous ColourWorks label printers, however it has increased speeds by as much as 430% and capacity tenfold. The C7500 is encased in an industrial grade metal casing for added durability.
Epson’s latest release comes equipped with ZPL II programming compatibility for direct plug-in replacement for manufacturers operating two-step printing, with traditional thermal transfer printers. In the application the C7500 can produce full colour labels from blank stock by automatically merging colour-preprint images in memory with existing data streams.
