It prints up to 6,600 sq. ft. per hour, offers improved image quality, increased reliability during printing and media handling flexibility, especially with heat sensitive media. Durst’s Quadro Array print head technology applies very small droplets of 12 picolitres, which makes for a very high printing speed without compromising quality of the output. The Rho 1312 incorporates Gradual Flow Printing for smoother tones over large areas and a high gloss finish—even at high speeds.

“We have a number of Durst platforms in our shop—we’ve always viewed Durst products as best in class and come to appreciate them as very reliable and very fast, with print quality as good as it gets in large format, ICON Digital president Juan Lau said. “The Rho 1312 represents Durst’s latest generation of high-speed printers—it’s definitely one the fastest we looked at. Plus its hybrid architecture gives us the flexibility to do both flatbed and roll printing.”

ICON has been in operation for 20 years and has offices in Toronto, Montreal and New York.

Durst is a manufacturer of professional imaging systems with manufacturing facilities in Brixen, Italy, Lienz and Austria. It also has major offices in the U.S. France, the UK, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Singapore. The company has been in operation for over 75 years.
