Smart papers delivers Kromekote True-Photo line

Smart Papers’ new Kromekote True-Photo digital papers are ultra glossy, triple cast-coated on one side, and a soft matte on the other. Ideal for custom short-run applications like greeting cards, direct mail and business cards, Kromekote True-Photo papers are compatible with a range of digital presses, and are FSC-certified, acid-free, and contain 30% post-consumer fibre. The Kromekote line also features a brilliant white with a brightness of 92. The new papers come in 8- and 10-point caliper, sealed in 250 sheet packs, with 1,000 sheets per carton.

Smart Papers also has a new swatchbook for its Nekoosa Linen brand of text, writing, and cover papers. The Linen line is suitable for annual reports, direct mail, and brochures, is FSC-certified, and, excepting virgin Carrara White, contains 30% post-consumer fibre. Ten papers range from 96-bright whites, grays, creams and rich cover hues.

Mohawk targets printers with new manual

Mohawk Fine Paper has created a paper with i-Tone process for its popular Mohawk Options line. New Mohawk Options 100% PC White paper is available now for use with HP Indigo presses. The Options line has eight colours, comes in smooth and vellum finishes, and weights ranging from 28 lb. to 130 dtc. (double thick cover). In other Mohawk news, the company has released an i-Tone selections guide for Indigo owners, printed on an HP 5000 press. Mohawk has more than 150 coated and uncoated papers with i-Tone.

Neenah Paper beefs up with two new digital offerings

Neenah Paper has revamped two of its most popular brands, Classic Crest and Classic Linen. Both are FSC-certified and contain two sheets made from 100% post-consumer fibre. Linen and Crest have been surface treated and cut to size for digital presses, and both include several new hues. Neenah’s Clearfold translucent line has also been FSC-certified. The Clearfold series is ideal for envelopes and folding applications, as well as cover wraps, greeting cards, and belly bands.
