Xerox takes it outside
Xerox has unveiled two new wide-format printers, the 8265/8290 and the 8365/8390, for vehicle wraps, full-colour banners and presentation graphics. The 8265/8290 prints at resolutions from 360 to 1,440 dpi at speeds from 162 to 215 sq. ft. per hour; the 8365/8390, designed for outdoor jobs, prints at 360 to 720 dpi from 162 to 215 sq. ft. per hour. Both printers use piezoelectric, drop-on-demand print heads, with variable dot imaging and interweaving technology. Both also use eco-solvent inks, so purification or ventilation systems are not needed.Contact: www.xerox.com
Océ pumps up the colour
Océ’s new colour scanner, the TCS4XT, which supports full-colour and monochrome scanning, and handles rigid and stiff materials up to 0.6” thick, is now available in Canada. The company says its new scanner is ideal for government users and reprographers because it easily scans from thick originals. The TCS4XT has a flat 10” feeding table in front, a retractable 30” receiving table at the rear, and a lever on top for adjustments. A similar Océ scanner, the TC4, cannot be upgraded to a TCS4XT.Contact: www.océ.com
