Neenah does it Dewey-style for Classic Crest swatchbook

Olive is not drab: so says Neenah Paper with its latest Classic Crest text and cover swatchbook. The company has taken the unique approach of using the Dewey Color System as a design and marketing tool. The system uses a simple test that links colours to certain personality traits. Using the Classic Crest papers as the vehicle, Neenah offers the swatchbook as a resource guide to show designers how any given colour relates to branding and corporate identity. For example, the test states that blue shows creativity, while green denotes logical and careful thought.
The paper itself is Neenah’s best-selling text, writing and cover stock and is available in 21 colours (including five white varieties). Forest Stewardship Council and 100% post-consumer recycled options are also available.

An inspired premium offset

OAsia Pulp & Paper has launched a new brand of offset text paper called Inspira. The brand offers the brightness of a number 1 paper, but sells at a number 2 price. The company originally thought to market it to designers, but according to Bob Brunton, an Asia Pulp & Paper sales manager in Mississauga, Ont., printers are buying too. The swatchbook contains samples of 50 lb., 60 lb., 70 lb., and 80 lb. stocks.
