Ghostly effect tightens security
The DocuCheck Ghost is a new artificial watermark product in Appleton’s line of cheque security papers. It combines overt and covert security features for simple and immediate authentication. The “protected document” ghosted artificial watermark is highly visible in normal light and is readily illuminant under black light. An additional security feature is Appleton’s PenTick Plus authentication. The swiper pen is a proprietary marker that reacts to the paper properties and creates a distinct authenticating mark that disappears in seconds. DocuCheck Ghost security paper is available in three grades: 24# white, 25# white with TonerFuse II and PenTick Plus, and 26# white CB BP (black print carbonless image.)
