Communications kit shows the power of print
This year’s Mohawk corporate communications kit features samples of annual reports that range from the substantial and colourful annuals of well-known commercial brands to the newspaper-like National Public Radio. All samples included are printed on Mohawk papers. Responding to the recent trend of putting annual reports online, Mohawk celebrates the printed piece with these examples that convey the annual report as the most credible, practical and visual way to inform shareholders, attract investors and articulate a company’s values, mission and strength.

The latest Ed is here
Stora Enso’s seventh edition of Ed, the educational series of brochures for designers and print production people, is here. Ed #7 covers a history of photography retouching and demonstrates how image manipulation can create believable fiction, demonstrated in a step-by-step recap of how the front cover was created. Before and after examples of other published marketing material are shown in various stages of retouching. The booklet is printed on Stora Enso’s Productolith, with a coating that holds inks, varnishes and films on top of the paper to provide sharper images and superior printed results. All three finishes—gloss, dull and matte—were used in Ed. Stora Enso offers Ed #7 by appointment. Visit the website to schedule a convenient time.
