3M challenges sign shops to do the extreme
3M has launched its first graphic industry contest: The Extreme Wrap Challenge, to recognize the work of fabricators and installers across the Country.

Between April 22 and July 31, Canadian sign shops can enter the Extreme Wrap Challenge by uploading high-resolution images of a project using 3M graphic films and explain what makes the project “extreme.” Entrants must list an installer and are eligible for a monthly random draw for a $100 branded prepaid card.

“The visual appeal of a graphics project often overshadows the calculated effort and highly skilled individuals behind the projects,” Michael Lee, business manager, 3M Canada’s commercial solutions division said. “3M Canada is recognizing the people who make these projects come to life with the Extreme Wrap Challenge.”

The challenge has two rounds. In round one a panel of four judges will review the entries and choose three finalists who will all receive a $500 branded prepaid card and a high-quality framed image of their winning submissions displayed in their sign shop.

In round two, on September 23, the three finalists will compete in a skill-based competition requiring them to wrap three extreme situations: an installation on curves, an installation in extreme temperatures and an installation on extreme textures.
